There should be immediate property tax relief for homeowners over 65 years old.

Water quality must be protected for our future generations.  It’s time to ban hard rock mining in the Black Hills and surrounding area. 

South Dakota ranks 49th in the nation in teacher pay, $16,000 below the national average..  We need to better compensate our teachers. Teachers should not have to get a summer job to supplement their income.  We want our schools to be the best in the nation, and the pay scale should reflect that. 

Individuals should have the right to make their own choices regarding ANY healthcare decision.  Here in South Dakota, we are seeing an erosion of health care rights, particularly for women.

Our tribal communities have been exceptional stewards of our natural resources for generations.  It is critical that our elected officials give the Tribes the respect and consideration that they have earned.  The tribal cultures play a significant role in our State’s history and economy.
